2006-02-27 - 2:25 p.m.

I've been super busy lately but wanted to post a little update.

Got my wall painted.

Got all my bookcases purchased. All but one have been built and then they are attached to the wall. It will look awesome.

We got the tile floors put in(both bathrooms and our master closet). It looks beautiful.

Got all our crap moved out of the apartment. We were getting so exhausted with our endless trips back and fourth and last week when we were talking with Michael's dad (who was gonna help us move with his truck) and he asked why we didn't just use a moving company, Lucille (our realtor) has a great company. I can remember sitting there with my mouth open. It had never ocurred to me to use a moving company, it seemed so easy all of a sudden. We called the company and two days later they moved us. It was three guys, early twenties, it took them about 45 minutes to load the truck, 30 minutes to drive there and about 40 minutes to unload and place everything gently where I wanted it. The total cost was almost $300 and would of been a bargain at double the cost. Not one thing was damaged and only one booboo. They forgot to bring our bedframe which was later disassembled and moved in my car.

I put a listing on freecycle and got rid of my couch the same day. I hated that couch.

We went to an expensive furniture store (or so we thought) and got a real nice couch, loveseat and ottoman. It is perfect. We picked it up the same night.

We got the apartment cleaned up and turned in the keys on Saturday afternoon.

Then we went shopping for tv's. We only had the one left since the burglary and it was a magnavox about 15 years old, with a 20 inch viewable surface and a remote that didn't work. We still haven't figured out what we are buying yet but will get two sets, one for the bedroom (probably the same model which was stolen) and a nice set for the living room. It is totally up to Michael what we get because as long as I can see it and the remote works I couldn't care less.

I just need to figure out the commute now. The first day I drove in, I was 55 minutes early. Today I was 25 minutes early but it still sucks. I hate being early. There is no benefit to being early. I still need to work until 6:30 pm. I got a big ole frappachino to help me wake up this morning. I hope that doesn't become a habit as I A) can't afford it, B) don't tolerate caffiene well.

More later as life settles down. We have the internet and satalite set up but my computer is still on the floor and Michaels is scattered around different rooms.
