I am glad the holidays are almost over. I have never been a big fan of Christmas, but this year rocked, all things considered.
I made out like a bandit. I a shiatsu massaging cushion (I'm sitting on it now), a massaging pillow with super soft fabric and those little beads in it, a gift card, some of my favorite shows and movies on dvd. I have even got season 3 of 24. I am seriously running out of time with that show. I am part way thru season 2 and the new season starts in like 2 weeks or so.
Michael bought me a flat screen monitor for my computer, but it had two dead pixels so he took it back and will be getting me another one. We got lots of appliance type gifts like a 16 quart roasting oven, I don't know what I would do with that thing, I don't even have somewhere to store something that large, so I think it will go back to the store, also got a smoothie maker. Yum. I was truly blessed this year.
My favorite part was spending time with Michael's family. I have felt so isolated here at home this last month (almost). We bought everyone great presents and I just love watching peoples faces when they open presents.
Besides the holiday my life has been in a holding pattern. I still have lots of pain, I've been trying to ween myself from the vicodins, but the pain is so much worse if I go to long between doses.
A couple of friends from work sent me a bouquet of flowers with a get well balloon, I got it on Xmas eve, needless to say, little emotional me started to cry.
Will try to update more regularly, even though there isn't much to report.
SNOW!! Did I mention the snow?? It snowed from about 2 pm until late, like 11 pm at night on Xmas eve! Michael has lived here all of his life and said it has never snowed like that. I saw that the snow in Houston made the national news, it must of been a pretty big deal. I've got some pictures, will try and post them later.
