This has been such a long week. Between running to the doctors and labs I felt like I never had a day off.
I went on Wednesday morning to my regular doctor, I told him what was going on with me (without crying, btw) and we are really moving forward with the treatment. He hooked me up with some muscle relaxants, vicodin, and a steroid dose pack. I had to have some lab work done, seems like every time I go there I have to leave some blood. That took more than an hour, that place was swarming with old folks, I guess since they are not getting their flu shots they run to the doctor weekly now or something. I actually saw people wearing those SARS masks on their face, if you can believe that.
I had to have an MRI done Wednesday evening, then wait. Wait and wait and wait. Why does it have to take so long? The guy wheeling me into the big scary machine can see what's going on, why can't he just tell me??
I finally got the results back on Friday afternoon. I have not one, not two but THREE herniated disks on my lumbar spine. Fuck.
I called a Neurosurgeon and set up the soonest Wednesday appointment, the 17th of November.
In other news, we bought a new bad ass tv. Good for resting your ass in bed.
After missing three classes I finally made it back to Water Aerobics on Thursday, it felt good to be exercising in the warm water again, but I sure did feel like a cripple when I got home and relaxed for a bit.
I hope I can keep going, I just paid up thru the end of the year. I will go if it kills me, I hate throwing money away.
Heres hoping that everyone has a good weekend!!
