Had a great weekend. I came home from work on Saturday prepared to spend hours cleaning the bedroom only to find that Michael had worked on it all day and was finished. He should get some extra lovin' for that (joke) alone, but he also scrubbed the master bathroom.
So we were free to do what we pleased that night, which, since we have a wild and crazy lifestyle means, we went to rent a couple movies. And keeping with the wild life, we fell asleep about 10 minutes into The Final Cut. Anyone seen that? I think I might like it.
Sunday was great, we got up fairly early, had yummy breakfast from a great mexican restaurant, went thru Sam's Club steath like and then went for a drive. We ended up at a place about an hour or so away called Lake Texana. We have never been that direction on Hwy 59. We paid the park admission and went hiking. I think I did rather well on the rocky uneven surface, we probably walked a mile and a half. I was so sore and gimpy by the time we were done with that. I really had to push myself coming back. At one point my right leg slipped a little and I felt a terrible pull in my back, near the bad disks, but it was fine this morning. I just had a little soreness in my thighs. I was so scared of what I might of done to myself.
I need to stick with the elliptical, bike, treadmill or doing my WATP DVD's on the carpeting until I can get some muscle built back up.
Then we headed back to town and did the walmart circut. Had to get some hair goo and cheese.
We are eating low carb. Today would of been day one, if I hadn't had lots of chocolate milk. I have two little bottles left. I would throw it out, but hey, it's chocolate milk. Tomorrow begins anew.
Did anyone watch 24 today? Finally an episode that grabed me. I think this was only the second one I have loved since I started watching it on network tv as opposed to watching it on DVD.
I am sad to say that we have never heard from the man who borrowed the Twenty dollars. I knew he was a crackhead. The sad part is that this will make us less likely to help someone who may sincerely need the help.
Thanks for the comments. I liked Sarah's dad's style though. That's more like what I would do. I have bought beggars some food and took it to them, but I don't think I will ever hand over the greenbacks.
